Sautéed Apples & Spice

Ingredients
  • 2 apples, cored and sliced*
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • ½- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cardamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet pan warm ghee on medium heat.
  2. Once warm, add the apples and all the spices and then gently stir until all apples are covered in ghee and spice
  3. Cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until the apples reach a desired consistency. I personally like cooking them so they get a little browned on one side.
Notes
* I personally like keeping the peel on because it provides more fiber for the body. However, if you do not use organic apples, I would suggest peeling the apple first.

VEGAN: Use coconut oil instead of ghee.

GLUTEN FREE: Yay, it's totally GF!
