2 cups warm milk (I like organic and as unprocessed milk as I can find)
20 blanched almonds, peeled and rinsed*
½ teaspoon cardamon
¼- 1/2 teaspoon pepper (depends on your taste)
½ teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoon honey (I prefer local honey)
Instructions
Warm milk on stove (do not bring to a boil)
Place all ingredients in blender and blend for 2-3 minutes or until smooth.
Notes
* To blanch almonds, soak overnight in boiling water and then peel in the morning.
VEGAN: This is not a vegan recipe. However, minus the milk and honey, I would suggest eating blanched almonds daily, as they are a good source of protein and provide great strength and energy. In addition, turmeric can be taken in just powder form…after all it is a wonder herb.
