INSPIRATION IN EVERYDAY MOMENTS.

Throughout my #100 Day project, I was amazed at how inspiration would surface from the least expected places. 🙂

Naturally, at the beginning I gravitated towards creating my yogini’s and quotes that were running through my head…but after a few days I began to be inspired more by everyday moments. For instance, one day as I was flipping through a home decor catalog, I saw the most beautiful and ornate set of blue and white dishes.

Although I never actually painted those dishes, those beauties opened up a door inside of me for a whole new collection & style to emerge. Having never worked with just two colors, blue and white, it really gave me a chance to refine my techniques and paint  images I usually would not. And, so just like that, throughout my project, everyday moments turned into logs that I would throw on the fire to keep my creativity burning bright and strong.

Everyday moments varied from things like missing my friends + coffee dates, books I was reading, the massive blizzard that hit Eastern seaboard, the Super Bowl halftime show, getting sick, stressful days where I just needed to remind myself to breathe, travel adventures, my birthday :), celebrating religious holidays, picking up my animal medicine book, reading my horoscope…and so much more!

I’d love to hear what piece from this collection inspires you and why…so leave me comment below!

With gratitude,

Kajal
