TAPPING INTO MY #100 DP FLOW

During my #100 Day Project, most nights, after I finished up my work day, had dinner with my family, went for a walk and did a few things around the house, I’d sit down around 9 pm to start my daily creation. You’re probably wondering, “Why didn’t you start earlier”?—but the truth is I knew myself too well :). I knew once I started, I’d get lost in the art of creating and I didn’t want this project to interfere with my regular workload.

So, instead, every evening I’d jump on a wave of inspiration and ride her for as long as I could. I loved getting into that zone late night when I didn’t have my to-do list hanging over my head, I could turn on some comfort music and could just play. I was so in awe at how strong the creative currents were night after night that I didn’t want them to stop. I felt blessed and excited as each new piece emerged, which fueled me for my next night’s adventure. Although I tapped into many of my retired night owl tendencies :), many nights, my sleepy eyes would dictate having to wrap up the fun—sometimes it would be 11pm, midnight and even after 1 am :). So, I guess you could say, my single greatest challenge during my project was stopping every night :).

When I set out to start this #100 project I never imagined all the ways that my creative process would evolve and that I would grow. It truly opened me up to new ways of fueling my creativity, learning new mediums, and sharing more of me in new ways. I can’t thank you all enough for the support and encouragement I got via social media on my daily posts. Your love, kind words and showing up with me daily through the #100 days was huge! And definitely a major source of motivation in getting this exhibit put together.

So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I really hope you enjoyed this journey as much as I did!

Lots of love,

Kajal
