There’s something so phenomenal about sitting down, day after day, in front of my altar or getting on my yoga mat for my daily meetings with the divine. Whether I arrive full of happiness and excitement or with stress, fear and worry weighing on my shoulders, when I close my eyes and focus inwards, it’s like I’m coming home and the divine always greets me equally no matter where I am (even if I miss a few days here and there:)).

What I love most about my daily yoga practice and rituals is that they have allowed me to tap into a deep connection with myself…a part that’s innately divine and joyful. They constantly remind that I am not the doer, I am just the witness moving through the day and allowing the divine to work through me. And that in the end, this is all a divine play and we are each merely playing out our roles.

The power of a daily practice.

The more I consistently show up for these opportunities, the more I experience a presence, that is so strong and full of light, peace, and unconditional love. Often, this connection stops me in my tracks with gratitude, heightens my senses so that I can respond from a place of deeper compassion, equips me with a shield like a thunderbolt for whatever life throws my way and reminds me that there is goodness sprinkled everywhere…even if some days I have to squint a little to see it.

My daily meetings with the divine, whether on my asan (meditation cushion) or my yoga mat, guide me on how to stay present and ride the waves of life, one day at a time. What do your daily meeting with the divine teach you? I find it so inspiring to hear what others get from their yoga practice, so please leave a comment below….I read and respond to every single one :).

With gratitude,

Kajal
