Reflections of a Yogini
Have You Ever Been Baked?
Baked to a Golden Perfection :)? I'm so excited about wrapping this week up and packing up for my favorite annual meditation retreat, Dhyanyoga Center's Mahasamadhi Retreat. A retreat that celebrates the inspiring life of Shri Dhyanyogiji and the teachings he so...
Breath Through it All
That's what my mantra for June has been.... just breathe through it all :). Between back to back festivals out of state, crazy allergies and intense world events, it's been a roller coaster kinda month. One of my favorite moments this month was when my husband and I...
Cellphones: my love/hate relationship
The thing is…. cell phones are no longer just phones. They are mini computers, walk-man’s, cameras, magazines, shopping centers, calendars, books, classes, notepads, weather men, calculators, encyclopedias, stationary, book clubs, travel agents, alarm clocks….and the list goes on and on from here. I don’t know about you, but I find myself more and more guilty of multi-tasking a billion and one things right from the palm of my hand, at all hours of the day (and sometimes night).
Inspiring Change, a reminder from our forefathers
I absolutely adore how spring brings about a whole new energy of regeneration, rejuvenation and excitement. Excitement for warmer weather, a change in wardrobe, an increase in outdoor activities and the enjoyment of a much more colorful landscape. This past weekend,...
Love Letter To Spring
Dear Spring, I am so delighted at your arrival :)! I've spent a lot of time this winter planting and nurturing things inside and outside of me and am so excited to see them take bloom now. Thank you for all the hope, new life and fresh starts you bring as you inspires...
Sivasana: my favorite pose.
Stillness from Deep Within As much as we all love the idea of deep and total peace, I think many of us have a harder time with it than we realize. Sivasana (my now, favorite yoga pose), also known as corpse pose, is known to be the ultimate relaxation/peace pose. When...
Goodbye 2015: a year in review.
Dear Friends, Happy New Year! Every year I like taking the time to recap the year - to look back and see where we started and where we ended. At a glance it gives you a chance to celebrate the strides, review lessons learned, reflect on turning moments...basically to...

A Yogi’s Guide to Abundance
Although wealth is most often associated with worldly possessions and riches, Dileepji beautifully shares in the intro of this recording, that money is only a part of the picture; true wealth is a state of mind that comes from gratitude, good deeds and faith in the divine.
Wanderlust: a mindful triatholon + art
A few weeks ago I had the good fortunate to host a booth for Wholesome Soul at Wanderlust 108 D.C., where 1500 yogi’s made their way together for a day of yoga and mindful living. As someone who’s a practicing yogi and that enjoys exercise, hatha yoga, meditation and fresh diet, it was awesome to see how this event brought so many people together from different walks of life. It was a fun and diverse mix of cultures, body sizes, skill levels and interests…which was great to see.
The Happiest Man On Earth: my grandfather.
The happiest man on earth; my grandfather.
Words can’t really describe what an amazing soul my grandfather was. He touched the lives of thousands; putting a smile on each and every face and filling countless bellies with food and love. He lived on 3 continents, worked hard at turning his dreams into a reality and spent his days feeding people, laughing and making others laugh. He had a deep faith in God and family. And with 8 children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, he had the ability to make each one feel special and loved.
