New season, new adventure….

It’s that time of year here in Washington D.C…..cherry blossom’s are in full bloom! Yesterday morning my hubby and I got up early to catch the sunrise at the Tidal Basin and see these beauties in all their full glory. It was beautiful! I’m so happy it’s starting to get sunny and warm out…it’s been a long, cold winter this year. And well frankly, I’m ready for a new season….and a new adventure :).

#100 days of capturing gratitude

As many of you know, the past few years I’ve done several #100 day projects in recent years that resulted in some amazing work internally and externally. Although this organized version of #the100dayproject officially started April 2, 2019, I was struggling with exactly what I wanted to focus on this year. But then during my sunrise adventure Wednesday morning it came to me! My focus for my #100dayproject is going to be on capturing a daily dose of gratitude.

Taking time to notice & reflect

As most of you know, my theme for 2019 has been self-love and change. And from all the reading I’ve done and expert advice I’ve gotten from my sister—a daily gratitude practice can “significantly increase your well-being and life satisfaction”. An article I found on Happify says, “People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they’re thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems.” That all sounds good to me :)—so that’s what I’m going to do!

Sharing more of me

Some days I’ll capture my gratitude through my art and design work like previous years, but this year I’m opening up my project to also include photographs that capture everyday moments that fill my heart, light my soul…and delight my tummy :). That is after all what Wholesome Soul is all about!

So if don’t already follow me on instagram or facebook, I’d love to have you join me on my 2019 #100 day adventure. #wholesomesoul
